Trip Identification card, Going / Return. (For passenger travelling on party ticket.) Issued by Delaware, Lackawanna & Western Railroad, no date, circa. 1940-1960. Printed card stock, two piece ticket, printed one side, 1-5/8" high x 5-1/4" wide. Serial No. 3860. Reverse is blank; unused and although unmarked as such, probably a file sample. Text below.
While part of the ticketing process, it may also be considered as a pass or check. The Passenger Traffic Manager Dominick (listed on the item) who was responsible for passenger ticketing and forms was based in Hoboken at Lackawanna Terminal, which was its eastern passenger rail terminus. It is likely that the printed item was designed and issued from Hoboken.
