Manual for the union labor contract with the railroad company that was created out of the merger of the Erie and the Delaware, Lackawanna & Western in Oct. 1960.
Selected pages have been imaged and provide useful information about several aspects of the railroad which had its eastern railroad terminal in Hoboken and underwent major reorganization at this time. The index, pp. i-vi, starts with "Abolished Postitions." Pages 1-16 list the many job titles and positions covered by the agreement and goes on to detail the exceptions by department and location (many of which were in Hoboken).
Useful in showing the scope of rail company organizations, both on the road and in the administrative aspects. There are reference documents and memorandum at the rear relating to agreements from as early as 1947.
