Handbill: reprint created as a hand-out of Rome News-Tribune, Sunday, Jan. 13, 2002 article "Glenwood hands help healing in Hoboken, N.J." for the Saturday, Oct. 12, 2002, dedication ceremony for the Deborah Williams Memorial Playground, Hoboken. Original article written by Susan Kirkland, staff writer. Single sheet, 8-1/2" x 11", printed both sides. 11 copies.
Although it states it is a reprint of the 1/12/02 edition, it's original publication date was Sunday, Jan. 13, 2002. cf. archives catalog 2003.066.0002 for the actual news article. The reprint is a re-formatted text of the original article along with different photograph than the one that was printed (cf. photo catalog 2003.066.0002.02). The photo on this handout was originally taken on Sept. 27, 2001 and show some of the children who helped handprint the flag that is behind them.
In a box at the bottom of back side is text about the school children's efforts in raising over $600 dollars towards the Memorial Playground.
Re: hand-printed flag made at Glenwood Primary School in Rome, Georgia and displayed at Pier A Park and City Hall, Hoboken. Made in memory of the victims of September 11, 2001.
