Nelson (1888-1971; born Michael Valerio) boxed from 1909-1921 (New Jersey Boxing Hall of Fame, 1969); presumably he was the proprietor of this bar which was demolished for development of Marine View Towers.
The postcard reproduces a cartoon history of his career to by sports artist signed as "Sheehan" under the large center figure.
