Scope & Content Document: Typed rhyming tribute to John J. Grogan by Nathan Marcus, Hoboken Merchants Association, December 1963. Typed on reverse of letterhead of Mayor John J. Grogan of Hobken; trimmed to ca. 8" wide x 9-1/4" high; matted; original frame was simple black document frame and not retained.

The twenty-two line poem was written by Marcus, the proprietor of Marcus Jewelers on Washington St. Grogan was Mayor of Hoboken until 1965.

Unstated is the reason for its creation, but it was probably for presentation at a testimonial dinner or similar event.
