Daab was the proprietor of Duke's House, a well-known saloon / restaurant at Hudson Place and Lackawanna Plaza, which is seen depicted at the bottom (as it looked before the 1905 ferry and railroad terminal fire.) At the upper left is a lakeside estate named "Milton." Daab is wearing a B.P.O.E. badge.
