A transportation ticket issued by E.A. Stevens, President (Edwin A. Stevens was a member of the Stevens family that founded and still owned the Hoboken Ferry Company), and countersigned by A.E.[?] McHale.
William White was William H. White and associated with the Hoboken Land & Improvement Co. which was also a Stevens family enterprise. Both companies were headquartered at 1 Newark Street, Hoboken.
The card was printed by the Homer Lee Bank Note Co., N.Y.
