|Scope & Content||
Thank you cards, six about September 11th World Trade Center response created by Hoboken schoolchildren for Saint Mary Hospital workers, Hoboken, September, 2001.
Single leaf offwhite cover stock, 8-1/2" x 11" folded to 5-1/2" wide, pp. Hand-made artwork with color marker pens; inscribed in pencil by students. Except for card 1, they have pre-printed lines on page for inscription.
The school or schools that the children (probably second graders) were from is not stated and the inscriptions were general to hospital staff. The fact that they are each dated differently suggests different classes or schools. Donor Rosemary Orozco who retained these examples was a member of the nursing staff at the time of the attack.
Each is unique. They were apparently placed on display at the hospital (adhesive tape remains and pinholes) and are likely only a small example of the many that were sent to the hospital.
