View is of the dais with podium for the grand opening of the new rail system. The event was held just outside the Hudson Place (at Rivert Street) entrance to the underground station. William G. McAdoo, President of the Hudson and Manhattan Railroad is presumed to be on the platform along with Governor Charles Evan Hughes of New York and Governor John Franklin Fort of New Jersey.
