Transportation ticket: Erie-Lackawanna Railroad Company, Restricted Monthly Commutation Ticket between Morris Plains and Hoboken; Nov. 1961
Printed purplish-blue cardstock with red edge, 2-7/16" x 4" wide; inkstamped date; purchase validation stamp on back dated Oct. 30, 1961; numerous conductors' punches. Serial number 224. No ticket holder name entered on form line.
The validation stamp is a D.L. & W. R.R. (Delaware, Lackawanna & Western Railroad) stamp still being used. The merger with the Erie Railroad went into effect on Oct. 15, 1960 to create the Erie-Lackawanna Railroad.
