Notes Text from back cover:

Here is an atlas that appeals to everyone—reader, student, and business man, because it overcomes the universal objections to large, unwieldy atlases and yet contains complete, legible maps of good size.

This compact result is secured by devoting one or more double-page maps to each state and country of the world. The maps are revised to date and show the most recent geographical changes; including all new counties and other minor civil divisions.

Following the maps is a Descriptive Gazetteer of the Principal Cities of the World, giving interesting details of the great trade centers, places of historic interest, etc. There is also a complete index of cities and towns, with latest population figures.

Size, 9x7 inches. Over 500 pages
Bound like a Bible, in full flexible leather, round corners, red edges, gold stamping.....$5.00

Bound in silk cloth, plain edges.............................4.00

This new publication consists of 65 plates, containing 154 colored maps and diagrams, with an introduction illustrated by 43 maps and plans in black and white. There is also a complete index of places.

The Hammond Historical Atlas fills a long-felt want, because nothing of this nature has heretofore been issued at a price within the means of all students.

This work has been produced under the supervision of Ramsey Muir, M.A., Professor of Modern History in the University of Liverpool. It is beautifully engraved, printed and bound.
