This is to Certify, that the Mayor and Council of the City of Hoboken
are indebted to _______________ or _________ assigns in the sum of Five Hundred
Dollars lawful money of the United States of America to be paid on the first day of ____________
One Thousand eight hundred and ___________ with interest hereon to be computed from the date
hereof as and after the rate of _________ per cent per annum payable semi-annually to the order of
the holder hereof at the First National Bank of Hoboken.
This Bond is issued for money borrowed by the Water Commissioners of the City
of Hoboken, under the provisions of An act of the Legislature of the State of New Jersey, entitled
An act to authorize the Water Commissioners of the City of Hoboken, to contract for and intro-
duce Water into said City and provide for the payment thereof, approved March 20th, 1857,
and supplement thereto approved, March 2nd, 1869, __________________
_____________________ and by said acts is made a lien on all real estate within the corporate limits of said City, for the payment of the principal and interest
on the said Bond.
In Witness Whereof, a majority of the said Water Commissioners
have signed this Bond and the Mayor of the City of Hoboken has counter-
signed the same and caused the Seal of Corporation to be affixed thereto, this
