Haggerty, May 8, 1917 re Mayor Griffin's request that Leach volunteer to take charge of enrollment & registration in his election district. Single leaf Clerk's Office letterhead, typed carbon signed, 8-1/2" x 11" high. Pencil reply on back by Leach: "I will serve. Frank Leach." With original mailing envelope.

Mentions that President Wilson will be making proclamation shortly regarding the registration of men for military draft. Envelope addressed to 80 River St. and re-addressed to 317 Hudson St.
