This may have been taken for her church confirmation. The card is trimmed to an oval to fit a frame and thus cutting off the corners of the photo.

Holographic ink adn pencil caption on the reverse with rubber stamped date of Aug. 28, 1921 plus several pencil notes typical of printer's mark-up.The "1 C" likely means "1 column" and the day may be 'sunday.' The pink paper residue may be from a newpaper morgue attachment. The front has grease pencil crop marks and annotation. The article this appeared in was probably about the August 24, 1921 fire on the Pier 5 of the Hoboken docks. The building (demolished early 1970's) was on the west side of Hudson St. at the end of Ferry St. (now Hudson Place). The building to the right is the Eagan School of Business. Sepia-tone group photo of the Celebration of Charles Weinacht's 40th Anniversary in Business, Hoboken, Sept. 27, 1917. 13-1/4" wide x 10-3/4" high mounted on heavyweight mounting board. (probably the original photographer's mount that has been trimmed to the edges of the image.) Reverse is blank. Caption is in image. None of the individuals are identified. Weinacht was a wine merchant. This party took place in a garage/warehouse. The rough, unfinished interior is easily seen and there are stacked crates along the perimeter. Board is very brittle and chipped.
