Typed letter signed, 8" wide x 10-5/8" high, with City Clerk's ink file notes on reverse. Signed by trustees William J. O'Toole, Lloyd H. Nettleton and Secretary Thomas F. Hatfield [who was the Librarian.] Note: the Mayor Adolph Lankering was listed as President of the Board of Trustees but as an ex-officio member. Stamped metal pin-back clasp bar with red-white-blue striped ribbon imprinted in gold; attached photo button with image of Lankering and text. The event held by this organization while obviously related to the Fourth of July holiday was apparently also a rally supporting the Mayor.
