Ink inscription on photo: Xmas Present to Ma - 1943 -. The girls are not identified and the name of their mother is not given. The attribution of the subjects as part of the Stover family is based on a Jim Hans note regarding provenance that came with the print: "The Old Stofer[sic] house on Bloomfield St. was out of the family's hands by Sept. 1996." "(John D. Stover 1037 Bloom - 1897 Directory.)" It would appear that the item was rescued from discarded materials at that address. The Stover f
