Commissioners of Drainage of the Lowlands in the City of Hoboken and Township of Weehawken to Theophilus Butts. Declaration of Sale on the 23rd of December 1867, Jackson St. E[ast]. Side - 25 ft. North of Fifth Street; Lot 2 Block No. 66. Printed document with holographic entries; embossed seal; 10-1/4" x 17" Property was sold for assessments on the land. Butts assigned the property on Jan. 19, 1868 to John M Board, his attorney. An affidavit of April 30, 1870 by the Commissioner of Deeds stated that Board appeared before him; Board was the secretary to the Commissioners to Drain.
