Postcard / trade card: A Happy New Year. Compliments of The Frank Cordts Furniture Company, Washington & Second Sts., Hoboken, N.J. Postmarked Hoboken, December 29, 1905. Chromolithographed, embossed card 3-1/2" x 5-1/2"; undivided back. Publisher: A. Baetz & Co., New York. Made in Germany. A stock card imprinted on the front with the greeting and near the bottom with the story name and address. Back ("Post Card" plus same in five other languages) has publisher credit. Addressed to a Mr. H. Breuel, 1017 Willow Ave., Hoboken. Not strictly a trade card, but typical of holiday advertising or promotional materials used by businesses, especially retail ones such as Cordts.

Printed form, double-sided, with entries in ink and pencil. (note: item split at center fold and other folds are weak.) While most entries are for a date and amount of sale, side two has some recorded detail about sales of specific materials and yardage for oilcloth, matting and rubber ends. "Hoboken's Largest and Cheapest Furniture Establishment & Storage Rooms."
