Article about the Hoboken Y.M.C.A. purchasing its building at 13th & Washington Sts. back from the Prudential Insurance Co. who had foreclosed on it three months earlier. Includes a description of new transaction and the facilitation of it by a Y.M.C.A. board member, Hoboken realtor Max Z. Hurwitz, of whom there is a photo portrait. (The Y Hut opened in 1918. It was the predecessor of this YMCA and was located at 4th and River Streets where the Little League baseball field is now.T he YMCA at 13th & Washington was built in 1927.)

Back cover from an unidentified Y.M.C.A. publication with a tribute to Railroad Y.M.C.A.'s from Warren S. Stone, Grand Chief, Brotherhood of Locomotive Engineers, no date, ca. 1920. Single leaf, 8-1/8" wide x 11-1/4" high. Hoboken had such a Railroad Young Men's Christian Association. This speech was given after World War I at the fortieth International Convention of the railroad union.
