3-1/4" x 4-1/8" wide print on 5" x 6" photographer's mount. Photographer not indicated. Front mount margin: 422 Washington. Reverse has modern holographic ink: Magnus Photo Studio Upstairs at 422 Wash St. Hoboken Decorations by United Dec. Co.
View is west of the three-story building at the southwest corner of Washington and Fifth Streets; also a vista down 5th St. to a house at the northeast corner of Bloomfield & Fifth.
A. Bruno, Wines & Liquors is on the first floor of the building, with a single seat shoeshine stand in front. It has has additional signage for Consumers Brewing Co. of New York Columbia Beer.
The awning over the entrance to the upper floors has the Magnus name on it. Magnus would have been Conrad Magnus. The six window awnings also bear the lettering. Top floor has 'Magnus' and '422'. Second (or middle) floor awnings all say 'Studio.' There is a fancy display case on the sidewalk near the curb with a signboard at the top: Magnus Photos. In the case, on the side seen (case may have been double-sided), are ten photographs of varying formats and sizes including a panoramic one.
The patriotic bunting is the on the upper floors with an American flag mounted out over the the sidewalk.
