Reverse has contemporary holographic ink text (not in Campbell's hand and with a different pen): Taken at Hoboken (Thursday) Pier #4, June 24, 1920.

Campbell is seen seated at his desk. His rank was established from his listing in "With the Army in Hoboken" by King W. Snell, (New York, 1919), where he was listed under "Office of Port Utilities", "Captains, QMC [Quartermaster Corps]."
