Description Box, sample size: La France blue-flake whitening soap additive. "Free Trial Size Not To Be Sold." 3/4 Ounce. Manufactured by La France Division of General Foods Corporation, Hoboken, N.J. No date, circa 1930s. Printed cardboard box box, 2-1/16" wide x 3-1/8" high x 7/8" deep. Unopened with original contents are present.

A formal name for the product does not appear on the box. Imprinted on the top and bottom panels with trial size text.

Notes La France Manufacturing Company was founded in Philadelphia in 1908. Became a division of Postum Co. in 1928 which adopted name of General Foods Corp. in 1929. When La France relocated to Hoboken has not been established.
