Davis OK Baking Powder. 3 ounce can. R. B. Davis Company, Hoboken, N.J., no date, circa 1931-1936. Metal can with twist slip lid, 2" diameter x 2-13/16" high; printed paper full-height wrap-around label; lid top printed decal. Bottom has embossed ring with "1 5" embossed at center. All text in English. Inner seal removed except for remains at edge indicatint it was a paper not metal seal. A slight amount of what appears to be original contents present; not verified.
The very slim lid has a printed decal with instructions - To Remove Cover, Turn While You Lift. At the center is a shield-shaped seal - Accepted, American Medical Association, Committee on Foods. The name "Committee on Foods" was used only from 1931-1936.
The right side has a "postage stamp" text panel placed on a diagonal. It has more detailed directions for opening, using and storing the product.
