Leroy lettering geological symbols template 61 2350-120 made by Keuffel & Esser Company, (Hoboken), copyright 1966. Laminated plastic incised with symbols (one side only; back is blank), 12" long x 7/8" high x 1/8" thick. With: original two piece slipcase carton with printed paper label on tray end.
For use in the Leroy lettering system. Typically used by mapmakers, geologists, etc. Sometimes referred to as a mining symbol template. Corresponds to 3240G-120 found in 42nd edition catalog.
Printed label with copyright date is also marked with a price in ballpoint ink, $13.40, which would be correct for a mid-1960s price (it would be circa $79 in 2009 dollars.)
Keuffel & Esser Co. main office and factories were in Hoboken in the period when this item was made.
