Padlock stamped "D.L. & W. R.R." (Delaware, Lackawanna & Western Rail Road) with key, ca. 1910-20. Bronze, 3-1/4" high (open) x 2" wide x 15/16" thick.
Typical heavy-duty lock of the period probably used on cabinet with a hasp closure. The metal loop on the upper lock was for chain to be attached permanently to a place near the hasp
Back stamped with lock number: A 4423 which is matched on the key.
