Postcard: A Joyful Easter. [Depiction of the Stevens Gatehouse at Sixth Street , Hoboken, & oval photo portrait of a man.] Real photo postcard 3-1/2" x 5-1/2" high; undivided back; postmarked Hoboken March 30, 1907. Type of paper is unknown as stamp cover the stamp block, but note the imprinted text in six languages.
Addressed to Mrs. J. Rabold, 168 7th St., City.
The man in the oval vignette is unidentified. He appears to be about forty years of age with moustache and wearing typical formal dress collar. Creator of the card is not indicated or known. It is from eight related real photo postcards in this accession.
The view of the Gatehouse at Sixth Street (entry to the Stevens Institute of Technology campus and Castle Point) is a heavily retouched photo with an artist's humorous drawing of several rabbits running (escaping) from the campus ahead of numerous eggs rolling behind them.
