Bottle: A. Stahmann, 405 4th St., Hoboken, N.J. No date, circa 1892-1916.
Clear mold blown glass, blob top, 9-1/2" high x 2-3/4" diameter plus porcelain cap with wire attachment, rubber washer. Raised lettering as above on front; "This Bottle Not To Be Sold" on back near bottom. Bottom has numeral "6" (or a "9".) Cap top has "AS" red monogram at center surrounded by "A. Stahmann, Hoboken, N.J." in a dull gold.
The contents for which the bottle was used is not indicated, but was probably for beer. Whether Stahmann was a brewer or a saloon keeper has not yet been determined.
No maker's mark beside the numeral.
