Printed ticket of the Hudson & Manhattan Railroad Co., 1929. 2-1/2" wide x 1-5/8" high. Printed one side in two colors. Reverse unprinted, but has ink validation stamp. Two punched holes.
"Good for One Continuous Passage from New York, Jersey City or Hoboken to Newark (Park Place) N.J." Ticket was purchased and validated at Church St.. terminal New York on April 14, 1929. Serial numbered at bottom left: 302448. Note that the faint security pattern background is the repeated cross-section tunnel view of the head of a train. Printed by Rand McNally & Co., New York.
It was apparently sold at the Church Street station as indicated by the "Ch.-3" on the lower left side of each part of the ticket.
